Global warming has been linked to all the ills that plague the earth lately. It is a way for humans to think they are actually more important than God. After being told that our carbon emissions are the cause of hurricanes, polar ice caps melting, mild winters and the waning numbers of polar bears we were informed earlier this month that global warming may now be a cause for increased occurrences of kidney stones. Before that could sink in we are slapped with information that the evil specter of climate change has led to an increase in kittens because it sends cats into heat earlier and causes it to last longer.

Is there anything the alarmists will not blame on this “crisis”? Is it possible that the earth is warming and it is not man’s fault? Perhaps this is cyclical and it is just part of normal historical cooling and warming cycles. Whatever it may be I just can’t wait to open my paper every morning and see what damage and evil man hath wrought upon this pristine planet. Heck maybe the hordes of feral kittens will finally be enough for Al Gore to give up his private jet, limousine and living quarters that could house a small nation. If we look at the bright side we can expect fewer mice and rats which could lead to a decrease in communicable disease. Of course the birds might want to keep their eyes open and parents need to keep on alert so the kitties don’t steal their breath.
